Egypt dedicates the “Hepatitis Virus-Free Village” experiment to Africa

The Science and Research Committee of the African Union, in cooperation with the Liver Patients Care Association - a member of the National Alliance for Civil Development Action - held a conference to export the Hepatitis Virus-Free Village initiative, which was implemented by the Liver Patients Care Association, to eliminate hepatitis viruses in 100 Egyptian villages to African countries.

Dr. Danjuma, President of the World Hepatitis Federation, representatives from the Africa Center for Disease Control, and many parliamentarians and those responsible for the health file in 21 African countries participated in the conference, “Africa Free of Hepatitis, a Village Free of Hepatitis.”

Dr. Gamal Shiha, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Liver Patient Care Association, said that the conference aims to transfer the project of 100 villages free of hepatic viruses, which was implemented by the Liver Patient Care Association in Egypt, to African countries, so that it begins where we left off to complete efforts to eliminate hepatic viruses that infect more than Of the 90 million Africans, less than 1% of them are currently receiving treatment. This represents a serious obstacle that requires urgent attention and intervention.
