Sons of the Nile Valley stand together

On Monday, May 18th, a military plane loaded with medical aid from Egypt arrived in South Sudan. The shipment of medical supplies was received by Major General Deng Kour, Head of the Security Committee on the implementation of the Revitalized Peace Agreement, Major General Charles Kon, Deputy Director General of the General Intelligence Service and by the Egyptian Ambassador to the Republic of SouthSudan.

The officials of the Republic of South Sudan praised the efforts carried out by the Arab Republic of Egypt to provide support to the people of the continent in various crises and misfortunes. They  expressed their thanks to the Egyptian people and President al-Sisi for the medical aid that Egypt sent to help South Sudan with coronavirus.

On May 4, 2020, Egypt sent 4 military aircrafts loaded with large quantities of medical supplies and medicines to Sudan to help it with the novel coronavirus "Covid-19". This falls within the framework of Egypt's solidarity with the brotherly Sudanese people to reduce their burden in light of the crisis regarding the shortage of medicines and necessary protective gears, as well as to help them half the spread of the coronavirus and reduce the death toll. This confirms the deep-rooted historical ties that unite Egypt and the brotherly Sudan, as well as Egypt's pioneering role towards all African countries in times of adversity and crisis.
