Prof. Gamal Shiha Chairman of the African Liver Patients’ Association: 4 000 medical examinations, 487 Fibroscan X-rays, 77 liver tumor resections, and provision of free treatment for 2 431 liver patients in September 2020 -Egypt

 The Egyptian Association of Liver Patients Care- ALPC, representative of the African Liver Patients Association- ALPA, chaired by Professor Gamal Shiha, declared signing the carrying out of free medical examination, at the ALPC in AL-Mansoura, including all its branches, and in the Egyptian Liver Hospital, for 4 192 patients, together with1 964 medical tests, 487 Fibroscan, and 926 Ultrasound, 61 X-rays, 386 CT scan, 45 RV X-rays, 26 ERCP, and 13 Endoscopic Ultrasounds in September 2020.

 
 Prof. Gamal Shiha, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the ALPC, declared that different medical procedures were conducted:  77 hepatic intra-arterial injection, 55 medical surgeries, including 39 laparoscopic cholecystectomies, 9 weight loss surgeries, 2 liver resections, 1 Exploratory laparotomy, 1 surgical repair of hiatal hernia, 3 abdominal hernia surgeries.
 
He added that 51 patients were examined in the Heart Clinic, and 61 in the Pain Treatment Clinic, specialized clinics that were opened to help facilitate treatment access for the patients.
 
In addition, 1 933 medical tests, 561 endoscopies and 342 Ultrasounds were performed, 787 individuals were vaccinated against hepatitis B, and various treatments were provided to 897 patients, and medications were dispensed for 2 431 patients.
