Egypt to participate in the International Viral Hepatitis Elimination Meeting (IVHEM) next December

The African Liver Patients Association (ALPA) has announced that it will be participating in the Viral Hepatitis Elimination Meeting (IVHEM), scheduled for 4-5 December 2020 in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

The program of IVHEM 2020 includes key practical examples of innovative intervention studies, international programs, and novel funding mechanisms for testing and treatment, all with a focus on meeting the 2030 elimination targets set by the World Health Organization (WHO).

“We are proud to be part of this this global forum that brings together experts in viral hepatitis from around the world, and makes valuable contributions to the urgent mission of eliminating and preventing hepatitis B and C.” Said Prof. Dr. Gamal Shiha, chairman of the board of directors of the Egyptian Liver Foundation and member of the board of directors of the European Liver Patients’ Association (ELPA).

It should be noted that the Forum program includes plenary sessions, roundtable discussion sessions, abstract-driven sessions, and symposia, noting that attendees can participate physically or virtually.
