 Coinciding with Egypt’s presidency of the African Union, ALPA launches the first training workshop on project management for African youth Within the framework of the African Union’s Agenda 2063, which advocates “An Africa whose development is people-driven, relying on the potential of African people...”, the African Liver Patients’ Association (ALPA) strives to achieve development in Africa by organizing capacity building training programs for young Africans, as well as developing their skills in the medical and other fields, until “Africa becomes a powerful and influential actor and partner at the international level”.0 The African Liver Patients’ Association (ALPA), in collaboration with Africa Society, has launched the first project management training workshop for young African entrepreneurial actors, in conjunction with Egypt’s presidency of the African Union in 2019, and in accordance with the directives of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi to strengthen integration in Africa, as well as capacity-building for young people, and to support their own initiatives and projects, which had been recommended by the Arab-African Youth Forum, held in Aswan in March this year. The workshop aims to support professional projects and initiatives in terms of quality, management, sustainability, resources and to organize training courses on the development of guidance documents, project procedures, fellowships, and project management; and to organize capacity-building workshops on the good management of civil society organizations to enhance professionalism, project management, transparency and efficiency. "This is based on my experience in entrepreneurship, within the framework of social responsibility, between Clinical Group Company and the Mohammed Shuaib Charity Organization." Ms. Nadia Shuaib, leader in the field of social work, moderated the session on organization management, quality, concepts, principles, mechanisms, operational and administrative bases, as well as on project management, fundamentals, rules and features, and how to effectively identify the objectives of organizations to ensure the credibility and sustainability of the organization's projects.
