The African Liver Patients Association (ALPA) participated in the activities of the Africa Day celebration in Egypt

 The African Liver Patients Association (ALPA) participated in the activities of the Africa Day celebration in Egypt on Tuesday  May 1st 2018, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in cooperation with the African Union. About 150 young men and women from African communities, African students in the Arab Republic of Egypt and diplomatic missions participated in the event, as part of the commemoration of the 55th anniversary of the creation of the Organization of African Unity.

The ALPA participated in the Africa Day activities with a medical convoy providing free medical screening services as well as the necessary arrangements for the treatment of people infected with viral hepatitis, more than 300 people from different African nationalities were examined free of charge.

 

The official presence in the Africa Day:

1- A number of African ambassadors in Egypt (Mozambique - Mali - Guinea Conakry - Nigeria - Cameroon)

2. The acting ambassadors to (Liberia, Niger and Djibouti)

3. The Leading politician of the African Union for Youth and the AU’ Communication Adviser.

4- The Cultural Advisers of the following embassies (Zambia - Equatorial Guinea - Ghana - Mozambique);

As well as members of the African communities in Egypt (Sudan - South Sudan - Ghana - Senegal - Chad - Cameroon - Central Africa and other countries).
